Get creative with Self-Adhesive Foam Boards and avoid the need for spray adhesive!
5mm Self-Adhesive Foam Board (also known as Kapa Board or Foamcore Board) is incredibly versatile with many different uses and is ideal for presentations, short-term indoor displays, mounting images or posters and model making when you’d rather not have to spray glue everywhere – and provides a quick and clean alternative. This particular product has adhesive applied to one side of the board with a special layer underneath the adhesive to ensure a flatter surface and to avoid any bubbling between the adhesive layer and the board. Simply peel back the backing sheet to reveal the adhesive and carefully lay down your artwork.
The board is robust and strong and made from lightweight extruded polystyrene foam with card and paper liners. It’s CFC free, rigid but amazingly light.
Please be aware that we only supply best quality adhesive liners and boards – inferior grade boards will bow and delaminate and create bubbles in your work.
Tips for storage/use of our Self-Adhesive White Foam Boards
- Store your foam board flat to ensure it doesn’t bow and keep it in a location which doesn’t fluctuate greatly in temperature as this may make the board lose their shape
- Use a sharp blade when cutting e.g. a Swann Morton or Stanley Knife or for modelling the Foamwerks Cutting Products are also very useful with their cutting ruler and other various cutters for different finishes and applications
- Use Foam 2 Foam glue if you’re model making – as this won’t melt the structure of the foam board and will set quickly. A great tip is to glue the edges and use dressmaker pins to secure until dried.
