Shrinking budgets shifts streamlining to a whole new level
With pressure continuing on the Public Sector and Corporate to reduce public or business spending combined with shrinking budgets, the cost of printing is one area where there are still significant cost savings to be made. It’s an area that often gets overlooked – although despite this, printing demands within the Public Sector and Corporates have never been higher as they work against an increasing backdrop of technology, workflow efficiencies, budget cuts and restructuring
The majority don’t exploit this area due to lack of knowledge, fear of change and misconceptions about cost and complexity. In some instances there may even be cases of battling against previous poor procurement of printers where short-sighted investment decisions were made. We aim to assist you in streamlining your business critical printing services and internal/external printing requirements to gain the upper hand and provide the relevent cost savings and advice you need to move forward

Which Designjet printers are most popular within the Public and Corporate sector?
On the whole most Public Sector and Corporate machines are tagged as synonymous with high volume printing – but often machines are purchased which are beyond requirements, costing thousands for little additional benefit. We recommend printers based on your current and future requirements and are happy to discuss your needs fully to match printers most appropriate for the job in hand. We could find, for example, that cafeteria staff may need to print menus on hardwearing media but only have a small office space requiring something like the T120, while a busy planning office may benefit from the T7100. Broadly speaking, from the technical Designjet range the T790ps T1300ps, T7200ps and T2530ps are the most popular printers for Public Sector and Corporates (T790ps for small teams, T1300 for larger teams due to its dual roll feed and smart switching capabilities, the T7200 thanks to its enhanced security option and production printing / unattended printing capabilities and the T2530 eMFP for it’s dual print and scan facility). Alternatively some Departments will require more of a graphic arts/ photographic printer, where the Z3200 and Z5200 are the two most popular models (Z3200 for it’s increased capabilities over the Z2100 without significant difference in price – and the Z5200 for production printing)
Types of businesses that fall into the Public Sector and Corporate category are:
Local Authorities, Royal Mail, National Nuclear Laboratory, BBC, Channel Four Television Corporation, London Underground, Age UK, National Probation Services, Help the Aged, Laing O’Rourke, Alliance Boots, BP, HSBC, Vodaphone Group, AstraZeneca and GlaxoSmithKline
